September 14, 2017

Sony Pictures Television Networks has announced that POP Fun, its 7-day catch-up service for its portfolio of kids channels, will now be accessible via YouView on Sony BRAVIA Android TVs and on Freesat.

Top shows from SPTN’s kids channels, POP, Tiny Pop and POP Max – ranging from Power Rangers to My Little Pony – will be integrated into Sony BRAVIA TV’s features via YouView, making kids TV watching even more accessible and enjoyable.

Freesat, the UK’s subscription-free satellite television platform including catch-up and pay-as-you-go streaming services, is also set to be a new home for SPTN’s kids catch up player.

“Adding Pop Fun to Freesat and YouView on Sony BRAVIA TVs supports our ambition to continually offer UK audiences the best in quality kids entertainment” said Kate Marsh, Executive Vice President, Western Europe, International Networks.

Alistair Thom, Managing Director of Freesat, said: “We are thrilled to bring POP Fun to Freesat viewers.  We’re committed to offering our viewers a broad range of content and the choice to watch what they want, when it suits them. This is especially important with children’s television and we expect POP FUN to be very popular with our customers.

David Faulkner, Head of Corporate and Business Development, YouView said: “POP Fun is a great addition to YouView on Sony Bravia bringing more great content to kids and families across the country.”
