ProSiebenSat.1 names Eglau EVP of international

November 23, 2017

German broadcasting group ProSiebenSat.1 has appointed Nicolas Eglau to the newly created position of Executive VP of international, effective immediately.

Eglau left his role as chief operating officer and general manager for Nordics, Benelux and CEEMEA at A+E Networks UK earlier this year, having joined the firm in 2015. Prior to that he held an executive position at RTL Group for a decade.

At ProSiebenSat.1 Group, Eglau will lead the company’s international activities and network. He will also be responsible for the European Media Alliance, a network of European media companies that ProSiebenSat.1 established in 2013 in an attempt to create investment opportunities between operators in the region.

Christof Wahl, digital and chief operating officer at ProSiebenSat.1, commented: “Nicolas Eglau has extensive experience in both TV and digital and a broad, international network. With him, we will expand our international cooperation ventures and generate growth and additional revenues beyond Germany’s borders.”

ProSiebenSat.1 revealed earlier this week that its CEO, Thomas Ebeling, be exiting the company in February 2018.
