Cowles Company selects Mediaproxy

January 24, 2018

Cowles Company has chosen Mediaproxy, a provider of broadcast compliance, monitoring and analysis software, for logging and monitoring of its KHQ, KNDU, KNDO, KULR and KFBB television stations across Washington and Montana.

Mediaproxy LogServer has been deployed by Cowles to capture, log, and monitor 14 of its television channels over IP. Once logged and stored in a proxy format content can be retrieved for review using the intuitive Mediaproxy LogPlayer.

Channels captured by LogServer are streamed across an internal network to populate Monwall interactive multi-viewers within master control rooms, post-production, and offices. The live monitoring capabilities of LogServer and Monwall ensure that loudness and close captioning criteria are met.

“We aim to provide viewers with the very best content and experience no matter which of our channels they happen to be watching”, said Paul Caryl, Director of Engineering at Cowles Company. “For this reason, we chose LogServer, as it provided the most accurate logging, monitoring and analysis that we could find.”

“The broadcast engineering team at Cowles Company have very high expectations for their content and we are pleased to be able to help them meet their requirements in terms of compliance, quality of service, and future flexibility”, said Erik Otto, CEO of Mediaproxy.
