Pop-up Olympic channels from Eurosport

Eurosport is launching three pop-up channels alongside Eurosport 1 and Eurosport 2 that, together with sports streaming service Eurosport Player, will bring fans in the UK and Ireland the most comprehensive coverage of the Olympic Winter Games PyeongChang 2018 in South Korea.

Eurosport 3, 4 and 5 join Eurosport 1, Eurosport 2 and Eurosport Player, which the broadcaster makes it the only destination in the UK and Ireland to showcase all the action from the Games, taking place from February 9th-25th.

Eurosport’s pop-up Olympic Games channels will be available in high definition to BT TV, Virgin Media and Virgin Media Ireland customers. Extensive live and on-demand coverage will also be available on Eurosport Player – available via www.eurosport.co.uk and the Eurosport app – which will include up to 16 extra bonus channels, ensuring viewers don’t miss a moment of the action.

Eurosport plans to transform the Olympic Winter Games viewing experience with Eurosport Player offering every minute, every athlete and every sport for fans to watch across multiple screens and devices – with more than 4,000 hours of coverage, 100 events and up to 900 hours of live action, as well as expert analysis and daily highlights programmes. The five dedicated TV channels will cover a broad mix of disciplines from ice hockey to alpine skiing – with live events shown in the morning and extensive highlights from each day’s Games in the afternoons and evenings.

Hosted by Olympic Games gold medallist Jonathan Edwards, Eurosport is also launching PyeongChang Today, a flagship programme showcasing the biggest moments from the Games daily at 7:00pm on Eurosport 1.
