Spain: Euskaltel pay-TV subs up 45%

The Basque-Country-based cable operator Euskaltel has increased its pay-TV subscribers by 45.5 per cent in a year.
The company has gained 124,000 new subscribers for a total of 394,000 according to Euskaltel, due to the “high value of TV functionalities” and the launch of a new 4K STB with Android, the first in the market.
Euskaltel has become a major cable company with the acquisition of Telecable in Asturias and R in Galicia and plans to reach 2.7 million homes with its network by 2022.
