Edgy TV launches on Freeview

Edgy TV, a multicultural TV channel from Canadian online magazine Edwige, is the latest addition to the Freeview platform (channel 264) that has a reach of over 10 million UK TV households. The channel celebrates an exciting blend of fashion and different cultures to enrich the lives of professional women from 20 to 55 years old wherever they live in the world. Content is focused on the diversity of life through lifestyle, glamour, music, fashion and entertainment. It targets communities from Asia, Africa, Latin America, The West Indies, Europe, Maghreb and the Middle East. Some 70 per cent of programmes are produced in Quebec, Canada with international trends in fashion and lifestyle from around the world captured through colourful and dazzling films from Nollywood, Hollywood and Bollywood.

Edgy TV uses the VisionTV portal for access to the Freeview Channel 264 offering that can be accessed in TV homes that have internet enabled Smart TVs and access to the Freeview DTT platform.  Delivery is via high capacity CDN in IP format to VisionTV’s unique multi-channel Freeview portal where Edgy TV will join over 30 TV channels covering the news in multiple languages, entertainment, sports and life style. As part of the VisionTV portal, Edgy TV is also available on visiontv.co.uk, mobile apps and EETV set-top boxes.
