Spain: Movistar takes F1 and MotoGP rights
March 13, 2018
From David Del Valle in Madrid
For the first time, Telefónica’s pay-TV platform Movistar will broadcast F1 and Moto GP races exclusively, following Vodafone’s decision to drop the rights.
Movistar has launched two channels dedicated to each of the sports which will cover all races and information about the competitions.
The Movistar MotoGP channel will offer the 19 Grand Prix races with 30 hours live coverage from Thursday to Sunday every week.
The Movistar F1 channel will include the 21 Grand Prix races with over 500 hours of coverage, including 18 hours live for each race.
