nangu.tv breaks Czech streaming records

nangu.TV, the media platform provider for IPTV and OTT services, has announced that during the broadcast of a ice hockey match between the Czech and Russian ice hockey teams, a record was reached in the volume of data streamed via the iVysílání platform, owned by Czech TV. The platform is technologically operated by the largest Czech supplier of IPTV and OTT solutions, nangu.TV, in cooperation with one of its customers, O2 Czech Republic, as the connectivity provider.

During the ice hockey match, the nangu.TV platform streamed over 600 Gbps of data flow, the match was also watched by a record 164,000 viewers, with a peak of 500,000 viewers, which significantly exceeds the previous maximum from 2015. This ice hockey match became the most watched event broadcast via the Internet on Czech TV’s iVysílání platform.
