War of words over India DTH

Last month Star India issued a warning to Bharti-owned Airtel Digital TV, alleging that Airtel had failed to pay subscription fees dues to Star, and warning Airtel that it would disconnect its channels within 3 weeks.
The war of words between Star and Airtel continues, and have escalated. A statement from Airtel issued on March 25th accused Star of lies and said it was shocked by the “malicious, misleading, defamatory campaign based on blatant lies being run by Star India”, adding: “there is no truth whatsoever in Star TV’s assertion that Airtel Digital TV is unilaterally increasing prices of Star TV’s channels across its packs.”
Last week Star India took out a series of ads telling subscribers using Airtel Digital TV to switch to other DTH platforms.
