Digital media company Fullscreen has acquired Reelio, an influencer marketing platform that uses data-driven technology to help brands, agencies, and publishers effectively reach Millennial and Gen Z audiences through their favourite creators on today’s leading digital platforms. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
In a blog post, Pete Stein General Manager of Fullscreen’s brand services group, said that integrating the Reelio platform into Fullscreen’s offerings would strengthen its existing influencer marketing capabilities and best-in-class services as it continues developing a complete solution for the future of brand marketing, which it believes is social-first and content-driven.
“Reelio’s technology offers data-driven insights to intelligently match brands and influencers, complementing what Fullscreen has already built and enhancing our ability to continually demonstrate strong ROI and effectiveness with every influencer marketing pogramme it executes,” he wrote.
Specifically, according to Stein, the acquisition puts data science squarely at the heart of Fullscreen’s business in a way that will significantly benefit its brand clients, as well as current and future creators in the Fullscreen network. “The combination of algorithm-led optimisation and platform automation with world-class service will make the influencer marketing process efficient, scalable, quality-driven, and consistently measurable,” he suggested.
“The strength of Reelio’s data, technology, and team will be an important addition to the Fullscreen family as we expand our offerings to encompass the full spectrum of influencer marketing, including custom integrated marketing services and production, curated influencer marketing campaign management, direct self-service transactions with creators, and the ability for our clients to leverage our platform to support their own in-house staff,” he concluded.
“Reelio, like Fullscreen, has a focus on quality and relevance over quantity on our platform, ensuring that brands discover talent who are a natural fit for their campaigns and will provide the highest ROI,” said Pete Borum, CEO and Co-Founder, Reelio. “Fullscreen excels at brand building, fostering long-term, meaningful relationships with creators, and creating relevant, high-quality impactful content, and we’re excited to innovate together.”
Following the acquisition, Fullscreen clients will have access to a full spectrum of influencer marketing offerings, including white glove, custom integrated marketing services and production, curated influencer marketing campaign management, direct self-service transactions with creators, and the ability to leverage Fullscreen’s influencer marketing platform to support its own in-house staff.
“We believe the future of marketing will be defined by the integration of data science and platform automation with world-class service,” noted Stein in a separate statement. “With this acquisition, Fullscreen now has the ability to offer the best service, data, and technology to advertisers, brands, and publishers.”
