June 29, 2018

Eurosport has teamed-up with cycling legend Sir Bradley Wiggins to launch a new Tour de France podcast to complement its TV and digital coverage of the world’s biggest cycling race.

The four-part series, titled The Bradley Wiggins Show by Eurosport, will be broadcast every Monday of the Tour, starting July 9th, and available on all major podcast providers including, iTunes, iHeartRadio, Spotify, GooglePlay, Audioboom, Stitcher and Deezer. Each episode will also be filmed and available for fans to watch exclusively on Eurosport’s website.

Wiggins, the only cyclist to have won both World and Olympic championships on the track and the road, as well as the Tour de France and held the track hour record, will give his unique perspective on all the major Tour de France talking points and preview the forthcoming stages that will decide the fate of the iconic yellow jersey.

The show will be hosted by radio presenter and cycling fanatic, Adam Green, with professional cyclist, Molly Weaver, joining Wiggins as a regular guest. Eurosport has partnered with renowned UK-based podcast production company, Muddy Knees Media, to produce the series.

Commenting on the show, Wiggins said: “I can’t wait to get in the Eurosport studio and share my views on this year’s Tour de France. Having competed in the Tour six times, I know what the riders and teams will be going through and I look forward to giving my honest opinions on what is happening on and off the road. Eurosport has been an important partner for cycling in the UK and Europe for many years and has developed a huge audience of cycling fans, so when the series was proposed I jumped at the chance to be involved. My passion for cycling remains as great as ever and I want to make the series appeal to both hardcore cycling supporters and general sport fans who want to know more about the biggest cycling race in the world.”

Sameer Pabari, SVP, Content & Business Development at Eurosport, said: “We’re delighted to have signed-up someone of Sir Bradley’s calibre to launch this new podcast for one of the flagship events in the sporting calendar. The demand for podcast formats has never been greater and we are delighted to add this new series, with one of the sport’s most iconic names, to our coverage of the world’s biggest cycling race. Eurosport has huge heritage with the Tour de France and we’ve built a massive community of cycling fans through our comprehensive linear and digital coverage of the sport. The Bradley Wiggins Show is a natural extension to our digital offer and we have no doubt that the series will be ‘must listen’ content for cycling fans, who can once again watch every minute of the race live on Eurosport Player.”
