CETel achieves full certification for its German teleport from WTA
July 19, 2018
The World Teleport Association (WTA) has announced that CETel has achieved Tier 3 full certification of its teleport under WTA’s Teleport Certification Program. CETel joins the small and prestigious circle of full certified European Teleports from now and thereby reiterates WTA’s mission of promoting excellence in business practice, technology and operations. CETel becomes the eights European teleport to achieve Tier 3 certification.
Full certification under the WTA program is the result of a comprehensive data-collection and inspection process through an independent auditor. Certification is issued at a Tier number from 1 through 4, of which 4 represents the highest degree of excellence, and remains in effect for three years.
“We honor the work that WTA places on quality assurance of global operating teleports and are proud to become the eighth European teleport to achieve Tier 3 certification. This certification emphasizes our sophisticated and structured operations and assures our current and prospective clients that their communication requirements are in best hands with CETel”, explains Guido Neumann, Managing Director at CETel, and further adds, „Especially global operating customers in the marine, oil & gas and raw material industries, that we provide with operation and mission critical communications, are explicitly searching for a reliable partner offering services adhering to highest quality standards. This is what they find with us: a solutions provider offering turnkey managed communications solutions, tailored to the specific requirements with proven excellence in business practice, technology and operations.”
“CETel has become the 15th teleport worldwide and the 10th teleport in Europe to be fully certified by WTA,” said executive director Robert Bell. “Our program now covers a total of 36 teleports in all major markets around the world, and is increasingly viewed as the standard that operators need to meet to be competitive.”
WTA’s Teleport Certification Program serves both teleport operators and their customers by creating an objective, transparent, and internationally accepted method for teleport operators to document the quality of their operations for customers and strategic partners. It also provides a means for customers to select teleport vendors delivering the price-performance level that is appropriate for their applications.
