Telefónica’s pay TV platform Movistar has taken a new step to control all sport TV content following its agreement to broadcast exclusively the Spanish basketball League Liga ACB.

The three-year deal is added to the agreements to air La Liga Endesa, Copa del Rey and Supercopa Endesa. With this new deal, Movistar is the major pay-TV operator with the most pay-TV sports rights including La Liga, UEFA Champions and Europa League as well as Moto GP and Formula 1.
