Netflix deletes user reviews

Netflix has removed all user reviews of its content from its website, following an announcement last month that this was in the pipeline.
The reviews were only accessible through the streaming giant’s desktop site, and thus were not a widely used resource. Indeed, the company cited a “lack of use” as the reason for scrapping it. Although, co-ordinated sabotage among large groups of users to deliberately downgrade certain shows/movies was probably also a reason.
Star ratings were also eliminated earlier this year – which means the only way for users to get recommendations directly from Netflix is to now look at the match percentage, which is a Netflix estimate of how likely a user is to enjoy something based on their viewing history.
