Eleven Sports to broadcast F1 in Portugal

Eleven Sports has agreed a three-year deal which will see them to broadcast the FIA Formula 1 World Championship in Portugal from 2019 until 2021.

Eleven Sports will showcase all the complete track action, with Friday and Saturday practice and qualifying sessions, and Sunday races, through live, delay and repeat broadcasts. Eleven holds exclusive rights across linear platforms and will be expanding television coverage of the FIA Formula 1 World Championship in the region by offering fans additional feeds on its channels which will include the driver tracker, pit lane channel, mixed on-board and timing channel which will supplement the international feed coverage.

Michaella Snoeck, Senior Manager, Media Rights at Formula 1, said: “Formula 1 are delighted to be entering into a new partnership with Eleven Sports in Portugal for the next three seasons. Eleven Sports will be taking production in Portugal to the next level, offering extended coverage across their TV channels and their digital offering. This agreement, combined with our new OTT offering, marks another step in the development of our licensing strategy.
