September 10, 2018

AWE (Augmented World Expo), the XR (AR/VR/MR) event series , has announced a partnership with augmented and virtual reality analytics firm Digi-Capital, the global adviser and provider of XR industry intelligence.

The partnership will provide AWE attendees access to select Digi-Capital analytics and reports to drive XR innovation initiatives, spur corporate and VC investment, and to help new startups go to market.  As part of the partnership Digi-Capital founder and managing director, Tim Merel, will headline AWE events, providing the State of the Union keynotes and sharing live, global and regional XR analytics.

“Companies of every size and shape are seeking advantageous knowledge about how their hardware, software or experience innovation fits within the XR marketplace,” said Ori Inbar, founder and executive producer of AWE. “While we instinctively know the XR space to be growing by leaps and bounds, we also know that granular, focused and actionable data is the cornerstone of any evolving market. From evaluating new technologies, scoping out the competitive landscape to understanding where the deals are happening, Digi-Capital now provides AWE’s community precision data and analytics to guide new business models, determine go-to-market strategies, benchmark product-market fit and target innovation.”

“Experience and gut feel will only get you so far in XR,” said Tim Merel, founder and managing director of Digi-Capital. “When you reach the data and analytics stage, our Analytics Platform is the industry standard. As the reference point for the industry, we wanted to help the AWE community with the market’s most comprehensive and granular hard data and analytics to answer their questions.  “At AWE Europe, we will highlight our XR market forecast that Europe could pass North America this year to hit 52 per cent of Western XR revenue, growing to 57 per cent by 2022 (even though the US remains the second largest global market, after China),” added Merel.
