Portuguese cable TV operator Nowo has rolled out an IPTV service that allows access to content both nationwide and anywhere in the EU.

The cost for the dedicated Box IP is €79.99, while the service has a monthly fee of €12.99 for the option with 33 TV channels and €19.99 for 82 TV channels. In addition, customers can subscribe to premium channels BTV, Sport TV, Eleven Sports, TVCine & TVSeries and Globo Now.

An Internet connection (via Wi-Fi or Ethernet) from any operator is required for the Box IP to work properly, with a minimum download speed of 10 Mbps.

Meanwhile, Nowo is continuing negotiations with the other three pay-TV platforms in Portugal for the distribution of premium sports service Eleven Sports.

Eleven Sports non-executive director, Pedro Mendonça Pinto, told daily “Record” that the imminent start of the group phase of the UEFA Champions League is increasing pressure on NOS, Meo and Vodafone to reach a deal.
