Globecast named technical partner for Virgin 4K channel

Globecast, the global solutions provider for media, has been selected by Virgin Media as its technical partner for the launch of Virgin TV Ultra HD.
The channel, which launches on September 17th, will be available for Virgin Media’s Full House and VIP customers using its next-generation Virgin TV V6 set-top box. Globecast is supplying both cloud-based playout and media management services.
