Eurosport extends MotoGP rights in Netherlands, Flanders

September 20, 2018

Eurosport will remain the exclusive home of MotoGP until 2021 in the Netherlands and Flanders, the Dutch speaking part of Belgium. Discovery / Eurosport extended their agreement with MotoGP commercial rights holder Dorna Sports for both the linear and digital rights until 2021.

In addition to MotoGP races, all Free Practice, Qualifying and Warm Up sessions can also be followed exclusively via the Eurosport platforms. The same applies to the other Grand Prix classes, Moto2 and the Moto3. On top of that there are seven (live) bonus feeds available for motorcycle enthusiasts on the Eurosport Player, including live bike tracking and live timing.

Alco De Jong, General Manager Discovery Benelux: “MotoGP has been one of our most important and most constant pillars in recent years. In my opinion MotoGP is in many ways an example for other (motor) sports: the regulations are well put together and that always creates exciting races. In addition, there are many different manufacturers and there is not one rider who really dominates. That makes it a very competitive sport and therefore great to watch. I am more than happy that we will remain the destination for the Dutch motor fan until 2021.”
