The pay-TV platform will initially air football matches in 4K on two channels called beIN LaLiga 4K and Movistar Partidazo 4K, with VoD content (documentaries, TV series and movies), and more channels to be added shortly.
Fibre optic customers will be able to access the 4K content through a new 4K STB with a rental fee of €20 plus €50 if installation is needed.
Subscribers, with a UHD-equipped TV and the STB, will be able to enjoy two football matches in 4K from La Liga Santander (First Division) every week..
Rivals Vodafone and Orange already offer a combined 11 UHD TV channels.
