Spanish TV group Atresmedia and Brazilian TV network Globo have entered into a strategic content alliance covering LatAm and the US.

As part of the deal Globo will provide over 500 hours of content a year to Atresmedia’s TV series channel Atreseries, strengthening its position to capture the Spanish speaking pay-TV audiences in LatAm and the US.

Popular Globo TV series including Encantadoras, Ojos sin culpa and Imperio, among others, will now be aired in prime time slots by Atreseries.

“In view of the deep changes being experienced by the audiovisual sector, it is key seeking international alliances,” commented Javier Nuche, director of Atresmedia Internacional.

Globo said the deal will allow its content to reach over 10 million homes throughout Latin America and North America.
