Spain’s FTTH nears 8m homes

FTTH in Spain continues to grow with 146,295 lines added in August to hit 7.8 million customers, according to figures from regulatory body CNMC.
FTTH already represents over 50 per cent of the total broadband fixed market in the country with 14.59 million.
Movistar leads the FTTH market with 3.7 million lines, 47.8 per cent of the total. Year-on-year, FTTH gained 2 million customers versus the loss of 1.3 million DSL lines in comparison with August 2017.
