Spain: Pay-TV passes 25% audience share

Pay-TV is increasing take-up in Spain, now boasting an audience share of 25.7 per cent, according to figures from the consultancy firm Barlovento Comunicación – up from last year’s 22.4 per cent.

The three largest FTA TV channels, Tele 5, Antena 3 and La Primera draw the largest audience with a combined share of 37.9 per cent in September.

Mediaset’s Tele 5 is the market leader with 14.9 per cent, followed by Atresmedia’s Antena 3 with 12.5 per cent and La Primera with 10.4 per cent.
