Vodafone Germany has launched a new standalone IPTV service, branded Giga TV Net. The move follows the launch of MagentaTV by rival Deutsche Telekom last month.
Giga TV Net is available for €9.99 per month for the first year and then €14.99 beyond that period. The basic service offers 62 SD channels and 40 HD channels, as well as access to a VoD library. Subscribers can add multi-room access with an extra receiver for €5 per month, as well as the Maxdome streaming service for an additional €5.99.
The Android-based set-top box comes with access to the Google Play store, a Bluetooth remote control and support for 4K.
