Freesat expands leadership team

Freesat has has announced the addition of Martin Hughes, Andre Santos and Mahshid Hadavinia to its senior leadership team.
As Freesat’s new Director of Technology, Hughes has an extensive background in technology, software and computing. At Freesat he will be responsible for leading the technology team and oversees the engineering, product and operations functions, as well as setting the company’s overarching technical strategy. Prior to Freesat, Hughes gained experience at Dixons Carphone, Simplifydigital and BigHand.
With over 17 years of marketing communications experience and as Freesat’s new Director of Marketing, Santos brings his wealth of knowledge to the marketing team. Andre has previously developed his marketing skills at Sony UK and The People’s Operator, as well as working at O2 (Telefonica UK) for five years, first as Direct Marketing Manager and then as Head of Customer Acquisition Campaigns.
Bringing a breadth of knowledge in finance gained across industry, management consulting and audit, Hadavinia has been appointed as Freesat’s new Director of Finance and Company Secretary. Prior to Freesat, Hadavinia gained experience at KPMG and Elsevier, leading multi-disciplinary teams to deliver large scale strategic business change programmes across TMT and FMCG sector companies.
