Roch-Olivier Maistre has been approved – by both the Senate and National Assembly’s cultural commissions – as the new head of TV regulatory body CSA.
He will replace Olivier Schrameck whose mandate comes to its end.
Maistre has already presented his vision on what he believes is the necessary regulatory evolution that must take place in the audiovisual sector and better take into account new digital platforms.
A senior civil servant, Maistre, 63, is relatively unknown to the general public, but reportedly has a strong knowledge pertaining to the world of culture and media.
