Netflix testing higher price models in Italy
March 4, 2019
Netflix is rolling out a higher price structure in Italy, according to local reports.
The current price of a subscription to the streaming service in the country ranges from €8 per month for the basic package, to €14 which offers 4K streaming on up to 4 connected devices.
Under the new pricing scheme, some users are being cited €17-18 for the premium plan and €13 for a mid-tier plan which offers HD streaming on up to 2 connected devices.
In a statement, Netflix confirmed the pricing “experiment”, saying the aim is to “better understand how our subscribers value Netflix” and that “we may never apply these specific prices beyond this test.”
