Thexton appointed CTO of ProSiebenSat.1

ProSiebenSat.1 has appointed Nick Thexton to the newly created position of Chief Technology Officer, as the company continues to advance the technological transformation of its business.

Thexton has worked for over 30 years as a developer and manager in the international entertainment and telecommunications industries. He will assume his new position in June 2019 and report to the Chairman of the Executive Board, Max Conze. Furthermore, he will be part of the newly-announced extended Executive Board of ProSiebenSat.1 Group.

Thexton will manage all business functions on Group level that support the ongoing transformation of ProSiebenSat.1 into a technology and data-led company. His remit is to connect individual components, such as data management, tech solutions and digital business models, more effectively and synergistically in order to significantly accelerate digital growth at the technology front.

Thexton comes from the mobile service company Inmarsat, where he is Chief Digital & Product Officer and a member of the Executive Management Board since 2017. Previously, he was Chief Technology Officer at YouView, a UK TV platform. His resume also includes stints at Channel 4 in the UK and Cisco, where he was in charge of Service Provider Video Software Solutions as the CTO.
