Vodafone Spain tops broadband complaints
March 7, 2019
From David Del Valle in Madrid
Vodafone has been named the most-complained about broadband company in Spain, just weeks after topping the same chart in the UK.
The company took half of all (48.3 per cent) complaints made to the consumers Association FACUA, well ahead of second place, France Telecom-Orange with 28.8 per cent (A combined 13.6 per cent from Orange and 15.2 per cent from Jazztel). Movistar placed third with 13.1 per cent.
Among the main complaints were the breach in commercial offers; the continued sending of invoices once the customer has cancelled their service, the threat of “abusive fines” if a contract is broken, and the charging of fees for services not taken.
