DPP launches its Tech Leaders’ Briefing 2019

March 7, 2019

The DPP, the media industry’s business network, has today launched the DPP Tech Leaders’ Briefing for 2019. Taking place on 13-14 November, the DPP Tech Leaders’ Briefing is the pre-eminent business intelligence event for the media industry. The 4th annual event will expand from a one-day to a two-day conference and networking event, bringing together the supplier and content provider community.

‘No other industry event provides so much focused insight in one place, all tailored to suppliers and content providers’, says DPP Managing Director, Mark Harrison, ‘we’re so excited to be able to provide even more of the exclusive business insight our members love at an even bigger and better event this year’.

This year 30 senior executives from major media organisations will share exclusive intelligence about their top three priorities for the year ahead. Speakers already lined up include senior representatives from BBC, CBC/Radio Canada, Channel 4, DAZN, Discovery, Google, ITN, ITV, NPO, PBS, SVT, Thomson Reuters, Turner, UKTV, Viacom and Vice Media, with many more to be announced. These exclusive briefings for suppliers will offer unparalleled intelligence on what key technology buyers are looking for in the short to medium term, and what it means for the supply chain.

‘This event really helps us share our strategy with our supplier partners,’ says Tom Griffiths, Director of Technology – Operations & Distribution Platforms, ITV. ‘We know we can’t do this on our own, and it’s really important for them to understand what our priorities are.’

‘Being able to talk to all these suppliers in one place really helps us to make our vision of DAZN happen,’ adds DAZN CTO Florian Diederichsen.

In addition to these briefings, attendees will also get the latest in future thinking from inspirational keynote speakers, the opportunity to network with 500 senior-level delegates drawn from the supplier, technology and content provider community, and a dedicated Club Lounge business space, in which companies can hold high quality meetings with key contacts.

The lead sponsor for the DPP Tech Leaders’ Briefing will be Google Cloud, with further sponsors to be announced.

Ahead of the DPP Tech Leaders’ Briefing in November the DPP will hold a number of events including its leaders’ summit DPP Exclusive, on Saturday 6th April, ahead of NAB in Las Vegas; and The DPP Debates: Brands hold the key to the future of content, a thought-provoking evening of debate and discussion on Thursday 11th July in London.
