Iskratel enhances FTTH offering in France

Iskratel, the European provider of broadband access solutions, has announced its partnership with French telecommunications engineering company Telenco Distribution as it continues to expand its activity in the French market.
As part of the new partnership, Telenco Distribution will provide Iskratel’s full range of innovative GPON solutions for future-proof upgrades of Fibre-To-The-Home (FTTH) networks across France. This will enable Telenco Distribution to meet the demands of some of France’s leading telecom players, as well as the rising demand for ultra-fast broadband across the country.

The collaboration comes as the French Government sets out its ambitious plan – Plan France Très Haut Débit 2013-2022 (PFTHD) – which aims for all households to have access to broadband speeds of 30Mbps or more by 2022, of which 80 per cent should be supplied by fibre to their property.
