Spanish public broadcaster RTVE ended 2018 with a profit of €2 million. Total revenues amounted to €976 million, albeit 2.5 per cent less than planned, versus an operating cost of €974 million.

During the year, RTVE’s main TV channel La 1 took a 10.5 per cent audience share, the best average since 2012.

The TV group claims to be leader in the production of 4K content in the country, and it is increasingly upping its digital content to distribute across all platforms.
