Simplestream, the specialist in live VoD and on-demand OTT services, has announced that its VOD-in-a-Box platform has been selected by Blue Ant Media, an international content producer, distributor and channel operator, to power its new premium wildlife and nature 4K SVoD service – Love Nature 4K. This also marks the first 4K video service designed, built and launched by Simplestream.
The new service offers an extensive library of 4K natural history content, which includes video from over 40 locations around the world. Love Nature includes a range of features such as download capability for offline viewing, Chromecast integration and universal search with multilingual support to bring viewers closer to the wonder of the world. Love Nature is available globally outside of the UK and US on iOS and Android mobile and tablet, Amazon Fire, Apple TV, Roku, Samsung and the web.
“The dynamics of video content consumption are evolving in very exciting ways, giving content producers like us the opportunity to quickly expand our offerings,” said Greg Kampanis, Senior Vice President & General Manager, Blue Ant Media Global Networks. “Partnering with Simplestream has enabled us to reach our wildlife and nature fans on new platforms, and get our rich programming in front of new audiences in international markets – a major advantage and exciting development for us. Simplestream’s success in designing, building and delivering similar video services for top-tier content owners, distributors and operators enabled us to successfully launch Love Nature 4K in a very short time-frame.”
“When taking content to new markets, it’s really important for providers to be able to localise their content to each market. This was a priority for the Love Nature 4K launch, so our ability to meet this important requirement and be in a position to roll out the services on time and within budget was another reason why they turned to us,” added Dan Finch, Chief Commercial Officer of Simplestream. “Blue Ant Media has a diversified slate of unique programming that is primed for continued success, so we look forward to working together on more of their exciting media brands in 2019.”
