VOD365 content agreement with Endemol Shine

VOD365, a provider of branded OTT TV channels via Freeview, YouView, Freesat, mobile and smart TV devices, has struck a content deal with global content creator, producer and distributor Endemol Shine Group for over 300 hours of programming to appear on their kids entertainment channel Ketchup TV and documentary channel Planet Knowledge.

The partnership will see premium series across multiple genres including nature, science, history, crime, factual and culture debuting on Planet Knowledge, with programmes includingInside Man, Declassified and Death Row Storiesset to appear later this year.

In addition, Bananas in Pyjamas and brand-new animation PC Bob will be launching on Ketchup TV. The deal marks a first for PC Bob which is produced in-house by Endemol Shine Group and launched earlier this year on YouTube.

Commenting on the agreement, VOD365 Founder and CEO, Paul Coster, said: “We are extremely pleased to have concluded this content agreement with Endemol Shine Group.  As well as being the largest content deal we have agreed to date for Planet Knowledge, with 300 hours of quality programming added to the channel, this partnership also represents the industry’s greater focus on AVOD platforms and new distribution models of which VOD365 is at the forefront.”

VOD365’s Planet Knowledge is a free to watch video on demand channel on Freeview HD, Smart TV’s – available on channel 265. The channel is also available for all leading smartphones and tablets using iOS and Android and launched on YouView in November 2018.

Ketchup TV is available through YouView set top boxes, smart televisions, Freesat, iOS and android tablets and smartphones. The service is also available via channel 211 on Freeview.
