Connolly named SVP of Programming & Marketing at AMC

AMC Networks International (AMCNI) has named Patrick Connolly Senior Vice President of Programming and Marketing.

Connolly, a veteran of AMC Networks International, will take on this expanded new role which will include overseeing marketing activities for the AMC and SundanceTV global brands alongside AMCNI’s leading regional brands and channels in more than 130 countries. In addition, Connolly will continue to lead on-air creative and programming activities for AMC Global and SundanceTV Global. Connolly will also continue to serve as executive producer of all film festival coverage for SundanceTV Global. He will continue to be based in New York and report to Harold Gronenthal, Executive Vice President, Programming and Marketing, AMCNI.

Connolly was named Senior Vice President of Programming, AMC / SundanceTV Global in 2018. In this role, he successfully optimised synergies across the company’s domestic and international offices and leveraged opportunities with acquisitions and co-productions across AMC and SundanceTV services around the globe. Prior to that, he was Vice President of Programming and Scheduling, AMC / SundanceTV Global.

Connolly joined AMC Networks in 2011. Prior to his work with AMC / SundanceTV Global, he was a scheduling and programming consultant with SundanceTV in the US and Showtime. In these roles he helped with planning strategy, programme scheduling, and ratings analysis for new series.
