Premium sports streaming platform DAZN has partnered with Italian broadband operator Fastweb to launch a joint package of services.
The package, ‘Fastweb Casa e DAZN’, combines the live and on-demand sports offer of DAZN with Fastweb’s high-speed internet and fixed telephony services.
The new package costs €40.95 per month (€39.95 for online activations) and subscribers will be able to watch all sports content simultaneously on two devices and connect up to 6 devices.
According to local press reports, DAZN is also in negotiations with Sky Italia and Telecom Italia (TIMvision) for the distribution of its sports content.
The deal with Sky Italia would see the launch of a DAZN multi-sport TV channel on satellite in time for the Milan-Inter football derby on September 21st.
A potential agreement with TIM could also enabe TIMvision subscribers to watch all Serie A football matches (3 aired by DAZN and 7 by Sky Italia each week), according to daily Il Sole 24 Ore. This would be possible as Sky signed a distribution deal last month with TIM for its OTT service Now TV.
Besides Sky Italia and DAZN in Italy, the 2019/2020 edition of the Serie A is being broadcast by over 60 broadcasters worldwide, covering around 200 territories.
