Eurosport to screen World Urban Games finals

Eurosport has agreed a deal with the Global Association of International Sports Federations [GAISF] to broadcast live coverage from the inaugural World Urban Games Budapest 2019.

Coverage of the World Urban Games on Eurosport and Eurosport Player ensures that live action from the BMX freestyle, 3×3 basketball and breaking finals will be screened in over 50 countries and territories across Europe in 21 languages.

The World Urban Games, powered by GAISF, will take place from September 13th to 15th and feature six competition and two showcase sports.

Following the broadcast announcement, GAISF President Raffaele Chiulli said: “Our agreement with Eurosport underlines the importance of urban sport and the global interest towards the first edition of the World Urban Games. We are constantly looking at new ways to promote our international sport federations and to develop new sport disciplines, and the latest broadcasting deal will provide a fantastic opportunity for the participating sports to reach a new audience throughout Europe.”
