netgem.tv bundles ‘best entertainment service’ with WightFibre

September 11, 2019

Internet TV and home entertainment leader, netgem.tv, has announces its partnership with Isle of Wight’s Ultrafast fibre broadband company, WightFibre, to launch its best entertainment streaming campaign.

Since August 8th, WightFibre and netgem.tv have been offering a broadband package consisting of fibre broadband, TV, and home phone services all in one contract from £25.48 a month, with internet TV streaming service, netgem.tv available for customers old and new.

WightFibre is rolling out its full-fibre network to help make the Isle of Wight the best connected island in the UK. Along with netge.tv WIghtFibre have started an above the line (ATL) joint marketing campaign across the island covering all regional press, broadcast, bus shelters, railways and sheet billboards to promote being the best entertainment on the Isle of Wight’s fastest internet, as measured by average broadband speeds across the island.

The proposition is designed to support WightFibre’s newly upgraded network which will see full fibre broadband – all the way into your home and not just to the street cabinet, which is the case with leading broadband companies such as BT, Sky and TalkTalk. This network will reach over 60,000 of the 70,000 homes on the island by the end of 2020 with the aim to deliver unbeatable speeds of 900Mb, putting the island at the forefront of the digital economy.

As well as bringing customers an upgrade to their current broadband package, partnering with internet TV service netgem.tv means customers will have access to over 50,000 hours of online streaming content, which isn’t just personalised to each viewer, but consists of multiscreen, recording, and Freeview Play functionalities.

All new customers will gain one year inclusive access to Amazon Prime which can be viewed through the netgem.tv service.

Sylvain Thevenot, Managing Director of netgem.tv comments: “We all want to watch high quality TV with seamless connectivity, and with the rise of “skinny bundles” with a low entry cost and general “pay as you go” approach, many broadband companies don’t supply premium content with their deals. We wanted to push a quality-first campaign in order to be on top of the great free on-demand TV offered through Freeview Play and with the fastest connectivity – so we made this a reality.”

John Irvine, CEO of WightFibre adds: “TV is a really important part of the offering in the UK marketing place where the end customer is now expecting to buy TV alongside their broadband,  so being able to offer TV is extremely important. netgem.tv have a great value proposition, that brings next generation TV to our customers, that complements our Full Fibre rollout.’
