VeEX product announcements at ECOC 2019

September 23, 2019

VeEX, a global player in innovative test and measurement solutions for next-generation networks, has announced that it will introduce new products at the 45th European Conference on Optical Communication (ECOC) taking place in Dublin, Ireland from 23 to 25 September, 2019.

At booth #3, VeEX will unveil and demonstrate:

  • OX-MPO-12 optical switch – ultra-compact, 12 fiber optical switch designed to operate with VeEX OTDRs via USB interface. Optimized for high-density fiber test applications where MPO/MTP or ribbon cables need to be tested using an OTDR equipped with a single fiber output.
  • RXT-4114 CWDM OTDR module – developed for the widely deployed RXT platform, is the world’s first field portable OTDR supporting all 18 ITU-T defined CWDM wavelengths with up to 500,000 data sampling points and 3 cm resolution. Featuring best-in-class event and attenuation dead zone performance, the increased sampling resolution offers unprecedented network characterization and end-to-end connectivity measurement.
  • Product enhancements – many new features or test modules have been added to the fiber and transport products being displayed at ECOC. These include a full duplex, digital talkset for the FX100 bi-directional optical loss test set, WaveID for all CWDM/DWDM wavelengths on the FX86/FX87 laser sources and the new RXT-3400 multi-service test module for the RXT platform for Ethernet, Transport and Sync applications up to 16 Gbps.

“We are witnessing a sharp increase in multi-fiber testing in datacenters including a resurgence of CWDM technology in metro and fiber deep networks,” said Mike Venter, VP Product Development, Fiber Optics at VeEX. “The mentioned product announcements at ECOC are in response to these industry trends and we are very pleased to make these introductions in a timely manner to meet these demands. For our customers unable to attend ECOC, the product portfolio will also be showcased at the upcoming ISE EXPO in Fort Worth, Texas and the Cable-Tec Expo®in New Orleans, Louisiana.”
