Singapore multiplay operator StarHub has confirmed the completion of its cable-to-fibre migration for its TV and broadband services.

“Over the past 10 months, StarHub assisted hundreds of thousands of customers to migrate from cable services to superior, high-speed fibre services,” advised Johan Buse, Chief of Consumer Business Group, StarHub. “Migrations of this scale are never a simple feat, with multiple parties involved. Our staff, NetLink Trust and other partners worked hard to support our customers through the migration process. We are grateful to our customers for their patience, and we sincerely thank them for their trust and confidence during the migration.”

“We are excited that all our customers can now fully benefit from higher broadband speeds, enhanced TV experience and enjoy the rich services that fibre enables. This is part of our #HelloChange commitment to deliver a better service experience, unique content and greater value for our customers.”

To thank customers for their continued patronage, StarHub is offering all its TV and Broadband customers a free preview of premium channels such as beIN SPORTS, Cartoon Network, Hub VV Drama, Hub Sensasi, Lifetime, tvN and Vannathirai on StarHub TV and StarHub Go streaming app from October 4th 2019, noon to October 7th 2019, noon.

StarHub advises its customers that there is no requirement to return cable TV set-top boxes and would like to urge customers to dispose of such boxes in an environmentally friendly way.

Customers are invited to dispose of cable TV set-top boxes, cable modems and routers at StarHub’s e-waste collection bins across more than 450 locations island-wide. Under StarHub’s RENEW (Recycling the Nation’s Electronic Waste) programme, e-waste contents are collected and recycled, with valuable parts extracted and harmful substances treated.
