DMM Games selects Denuvo to protect new releases

October 31, 2019

DMM Games, a Japan-based gaming platform, has selected Denuvo by Irdeto to secure new games launched on its platform. With aspirations to become the biggest games platform in the Japanese market and publish games worldwide, securing its popular titles against piracy and tampering is crucial for DMM Games’ future growth. To ensure this security, Denuvo is providing DMM GAMES with the Denuvo License Management SDK and Anti-Tamper solution.

As part of the partnership, Denuvo will provide User Rights Management/Ownership and protect games launched on the DMM platform. The Anti-Tamper solution is offered as Software-as-a-Service, running and supported 24/7 in the cloud, with the ability to scale to peak demands and mass game activations on worldwide game launches.

“Thanks to the support of our many users and our business partners, DMM Games has grown dramatically since its launch in November 2011. Ensuring that our games are secure will be crucial to our global expansion and future growth. Denuvo’s technology has already been proven to protect games from cheating and piracy for many Japanese publishers, and in the new phase that we envision for our business, Denuvo will be a very important business partner,” said Tatsuki Sakakibara, Group leader of 2nd Alliance Department, DMM Games.

“As the online and mobile gaming markets continue to grow rapidly, piracy and tampering are threats that are firmly established in the industry and can have a hugely detrimental impact on publishers’ revenue streams and growth prospects,” said Reinhard Blaukovitsch, Managing Director of Denuvo, Irdeto. “DMM Games understands the importance of securing its games against these threats to ensure it has the strongest possible platform to enable its continued rapid growth and future expansion.”
