Viacom International Media Networks is launching MyMTV Music, a personalised linear music channel, in Switzerland. MyMTV Music allows users to curate their own video channel by tapping into MTV’s trusted library of music videos from the world’s biggest artists, clips from iconic MTV performances and events like MTV Unplugged, and exclusive bonus content.
This customised MTV experience goes live today in Switzerland for Swisscom TV customers as a first in the German-speaking territories, following launches in France, Spain and Denmark.
Driven by MTV research that found nearly 80 per cent of 13-32-year-olds said that their tastes don’t fall into one specific music genre (MTV Knowing Youth Study, Viacom Global Consumer Insights), MyMTV Music’s personalisation is driven by mood and context selection rather than focusing on a particular music genre. Users can create different channels based on genre, mood and date.
