Swedish streaming innovator Nenda has signed a deal with Stingray, a music, media and technology company, to provide on-demand entertainment from Stingray Qello, Stingray DJAZZ and Stingray Classica to the hospitality industry. The partnership aims to create exceptional ‘in-room’ TV-experiences for tourists and business travellers.

Stingray is Montreal-based and reaches some 400 million subscribers in 156 countries.

Nenda is a streaming service from Stockholm that aims to update the TV entertainment offered at hotels today. Nenda connect hotels with the most exciting content suppliers with the ambition to increase viewer satisfaction. Nenda replaces traditional cable and satellite solutions which enables guests to watch both linear channels and on-demand content of the highest quality. Going forward, Nenda says it plans to roll out similar services for all B2B segments, including restaurants, bars, clubs, hospitals and homes for the elderly.

Stingray Qello, which has been described by Forbes as ‘the Netflix of concert films and documentaries’, delivers a catalogue of thousands of performances by global stars such as Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift, Paul McCartney, Katy Perry, Imagine Dragons, the Rolling Stones, and many more. Stingray DJAZZ supplies great concerts, performances and documentaries from around the world, featuring contemporary visionaries, up-and-coming virtuosos, and timeless legends of decades past. Stingray Classica delivers the most prestigious operas, classical concerts, and operas filmed in the highest quality in concert halls, festivals, and opera houses from around the world.

“With Stingray´s truly premium content, including both the most iconic concerts of all times and the latest performances of the greatest artists of today, we can offer something completely new to the hospitality industry,” said Anders Hässel, CEO/Co-founder at Nenda. “Who wouldn’t want to play their favourite concert while getting ready for a night on the town? I know I would.”

“At Stingray, we firmly believe in unleashing the power of music to deliver the best music entertainment everywhere,” commented Mathieu Péloquin, SVP/Marketing and Communications of Stingray. “The agreement with Nenda allows us to enhance the lives of thousands of tourists and business travellers by bringing more music to their stay.”
