Japanese broadcasters will take it in tuns to cover this summer’s Tokyo Olympic Games events.
Five major TV networks, additional to full time transmissions from Japan’s public broadcaster NHK, will also be allowed to cover the games on rotating days.
The event runs for 15 days (from July 24th) and coverage will be split with four days of coverage allocated to Nippon Television Corp., and 3 days for TV Asahi, Tokyo Broadcasting System and Fuji TV and 2 days coverage by TV Tokyo Corp.
The agreement between the various private broadcasters will mean that on an allocated day when coverage will be available to one of the private operators the others will not cover the Games.
Public broadcaster NHK will broadcast the complete Games in 4K and also in 8K.
