Pluto TV marks film festival season with award-winning content
February 7, 2020
With awards season coming to a close this weekend with the Oscars, the show continues on at Pluto TV. The AVoD service is filling its UK programming with a premium selection of past award-winning and nominated films, TV series and documentaries.
Throughout February (until March 1st), the UK channels Pluto TV Movies, Pluto TV Indies, and the new Pluto TV World will predominantly dedicate their daily evening programming to films, actors and filmmakers that have been presented and honoured at major film festivals.
That includes the first non-Hollywood production to be nominated and win Best Actor (Charles Laughton) – 1933’s historic fiction drama The Private Life of Henry VIII – as well as Charlize Theron in her Best Actress awarded role in Monster. Honoured and nominated shows like Skins and anthology series Accused arrive at Pluto TV Drama and Pluto TV Made in Britain for the seasonal special.
New channel Pluto TV World – launched this week – is the new 24/7 home for a global collection of feature films and international TV series.
