Onward gets early premiere on US Disney+

The Walt Disney Studios has announced that Disney and Pixar’s Onward will be added to the Disney+ platform in the US on April 3rd.
The film premiered in cinemas on March 6th and earned rave reviews from audiences, including a 95 per cent Verified Audience Score on review aggregation site Rotten Tomatoes.
Additionally, the movie is available to buy digitally and on Movies Anywhere effective immediately.
“While we’re looking forward to audiences enjoying our films on the big screen again soon, given the current circumstances, we are pleased to release this fun, adventurous film to digital platforms early for audiences to enjoy from the comfort of their homes,” said Dan Scanlon (Director) and Kori Rae (Producer) in a joint statement.
Onward joins Frozen 2 in getting an early launch on the Disney+ platform in the US.
Disney+ launches in the UK on March 24th.
