OutSystems appoints Grieve as CMO

April 1, 2020

OutSystems, a global player in low-code application development, has appointed Robson Grieve as Chief Marketing Officer, reporting to Paulo Rosado, OutSystems Founder and Chief Executive Officer.

Grieve will have responsibility for OutSystems marketing strategy, including product, brand, demand generation, communications, technology alliances, and overall go-to-market strategy to support OutSystems rapid growth.

“OutSystems has built the market-leading approach to low-code development across the entire development lifecycle, and right now, we are experiencing significant growth in the community and ecosystem that surrounds us,” said Rosado. “We are excited to welcome Robson to the OutSystems senior leadership team as our global CMO. His experience leading marketing and building go-to-market models for fast-growing SaaS companies, such as New Relic and Concur, is a perfect addition to our team right now.”

Grieve has held senior positions across all aspects of marketing in his 20-plus year career. Most recently he was CMO of Pure Storage. Prior to Pure Storage, he was CMO at software analytics company New Relic, where he led marketing and alliances as the company scaled through enterprise customer growth. He was also Senior Vice President and CMO at Citrix as well as Executive Vice President of Global Marketing and Customer Experience at Concur, which was acquired by SAP in 2014.

“OutSystems is on an impressive growth trajectory because the platform solves some really important problems for customers,” said Grieve. “Leading industry analysts like Gartner are talking about how low-code is going to surpass traditional coding as the app delivery platform of choice because of time-to-market, speed-of-delivery, and compelling productivity gains. As the market leader, OutSystems is in an incredible position for the future.”
