Orange Slovensko adopts Appear TV’s X Platform

Appear TV, a provider of next-generation video processing platforms for broadcast and streaming, has announced that Orange Slovensko, the Slovakian telco, has adopted the X Platform to increase network capacity and functionality, to the benefit of their customers.
Partnering with Sunteq for local integration and delivery, Orange sought to improve their multicast interconnection with enhanced bandwidth, geo redundant peering and superior redundancy. At the same time, Orange wanted to improve customer experience by offering compression of UHD services in HEVC.
