StreamAMG & Birmingham FC extend contract

June 30, 2020

StreamAMG have agreed a new long-term contract extension with EFL Championship football side Birmingham City.

The deal sees the two parties continue a relationship which has been in place since 2017.

The Blues restarted their 2019-20 season with a draw at West Brom last weekend, with the game being broadcast to season ticket holders via their BluesTV service as part of a record-breaking day on the StreamAMG platform.

BluesTV is powered by MediaPlatform, which handles content storage, player customisation and more. Meanwhile, CloudPay manages customer payments and subscriptions, including pay per view passes, seasonal subscriptions and voucher code distribution.

StreamAMG’s chief executive officer, Hugo Sharman, said: “We continue to enjoy an excellent relationship with Birmingham City who have long been one of our most engaged football clients. We look forward to continuing our work with them over the coming years.”

Ian Dutton, Birmingham City’s chief commercial officer, added: “We are delighted to continue our relationship with StreamAMG, bringing Blues live and on-demand video content to Birmingham City supporters The unfortunate Covid-19 circumstances forcing football behind closed doors has meant that this partnership is now more crucial than it has ever been. We are thankful for StreamAMG’s services allowing us to broadcast our games to domestic and international supporters.”

Across the EFL, StreamAMG powers the OTT services of thirteen Championship clubs, plus a further four clubs in Leagues One and Two.
