Curtis Stone’s Field Trip debuts on Tastemade’s Streaming Network

July 16, 2020

Tastemade and Stone’s Food have announced the premiere of Curtis Stone’s television series, Field Trip, on Tastemade’s Streaming Network — a 24/7 channel with award-winning food, travel, and home & design shows from around the world — on July 20th. The launch of the series on Tastemade’s Streaming Network will bring the show to more than 80 million households throughout the US.

The six-part series follows the Los Angeles-based chef and restaurateur and his talented team from Maude as they travel the world seeking inspiration for the regional tasting menus at the Michelin-starred, 24-seat restaurant in Los Angeles. Each 30-minute episode showcases the journey to one specific region, highlighting the artisans, farmers, wine producers and topography of the area, while offering viewers a behind-the-scenes look at how the acclaimed chef conducts research for Maude’s menu and award-winning wine programme.

“As a chef, I have the good fortune of traveling the globe and meeting the farmers, producers, and winemakers who allow me and my team to create the best dishes and wine pairings at Maude. As I reflect on those journeys in the current state of the world, I’m even more humbled by those incredible experiences and the opportunities we were given during the making of Field Trip. I’m super happy that Field Trip has found a home on Tastemade. I’ve always admired their content and diverse storytelling. They’re leaders in new food media and I’m excited to be sharing these inspirational adventures with their audience.”

This announcement comes as a part of continued collaborations between Tastemade  and Curtis Stone who has been featured on other Tastemade series over the years, such as Like a Chef, Kitchen Little, Dish, and The Shift.

“Having been longtime fans and collaborators of Curtis Stone, we are excited to share his beautiful series on global inspiration,” says Darin Bresnitz, Director of Original Series at Tastemade. “We appreciate the rich storytelling, along with the delicious culinary inspiration he shares and are excited to go on this journey with him.”

Shot by Curtis’ friend and cinematographer, Dave Gorn, this first installation features Curtis and his team as they travel to his native Australia, as well as Italy, Spain, and California. The first episode follows their trip to the Margaret River in Australia’s southwest corner, known for its surfing, vineyards, farmlands, and burgeoning culinary scene. In subsequent episodes, Curtis traverses Lombardy & Umbria in Italy, California’s Central Coast, The Kimberly in Australia, and Rioja in Spain, communing with purveyors, ranchers, chefs and local experts to experience and taste the soul of each destination. At the conclusion of each episode, Curtis reveals how those experiences inform the direction and dishes within Maude’s quarterly menus.

Beginning on Monday, July 20th, Field Trip can be streamed on Tastemade’s Streaming Network — with subscription on YouTubeTV, AT&T, Philo, TVision, Comcast, Sling TV, and Fubo TV, or for free on Samsung TV Plus, Vizio, IMDbTV, Xumo, TiVo, The Roku Channel, and Peacock. The show can also be watched on demand on Tastemade+ via AppleTV, Amazon Channels, and Sling TV.
